frenchies cafe

About Frenchies

Named after
the dogs.

Crepes, sandwiches, and coffee — served the way a French cafe would, in a town that runs on flip-flops and sea air.

The idea

A French cafe that acts like a beach cafe.

The menu reads like a Paris corner cafe — jambon-beurre, jambon & fromage, crepes sweet and savory, espresso pulled properly. The setting is pure Southern California: pale blue French doors, terracotta tile, and a patio looking out at palm trees and the San Clemente Pier.

That contrast is the whole point. You can order a croque-worthy sandwich and a cappuccino, then walk down to the water with sand still on your feet.

What we believe

Simple things, done well.

01

A Patio on the Pacific

Palm trees, sea air, and the San Clemente Pier a short walk away — our outdoor tables are the whole point.

02

Crepes, Made to Order

Sweet or savory, folded fresh when you order — not stacked and reheated behind the counter.

03

French Classics, Beach Casual

Jambon-beurre and prime rib sandwiches served the way a beach town actually eats — no pretense, no dress code.

04

Dog-Friendly, Always

We're named after our own French bulldogs. Yours are welcome on the patio too.

The namesakes

Our frenchies.

The two French bulldogs on our sign are the real thing — and the reason the patio has always been dog-friendly. Bring yours; there’s a water bowl by the door.

Around the cafe

A little glimpse in.

An iced matcha on the patio rail, ocean in the distance
